China by Four Seasons 2016: Innovative format showcases nine luxury properties

Tourism

Instead of hosting the annual China by Four Seasons event in Beijing or Shanghai, the 2016 event was held in Guangzhou, a first-tier city, to meet and greet key media from Southern China, including Macau and Hong Kong. The event also leveraged the introduction of the ninth property of Four Seasons in Greater China—Tianjin Four Seasons. To create a memorable experience, the media were immersed in an extraordinary Four Seasons luxury experience. RF Thunder worked closely with all nine properties to identify and highlight each property’s unique luxury offering for the media’s enjoyment.  These included a folk dance performance, wine tasting, caviar and champagne lecture, sampling of an exclusive cocktail concoction, a mini spa and tea ceremony, traditional and award-winning cuisine, as well as branded gifts. Creatively showcased in a rotating format for groups of eight, the event plan included time for interaction with PR directors and property representatives. The format also allowed key media to experience all Four Seasons’ unique offerings within a well-orchestrated time schedule. Every participating media, including online KOLs, generated news of the Four Seasons experience and highlighted event elements, as well as announced the new Tianjin Four Seasons. The innovative format and its in-depth engagement with hotel representatives produced outstanding results. The successful, experiential rotating format was extended to the Four Seasons 2017 Media Connect in Shanghai and Beijing.
