Steinway·SPIRIO China Launch Tour wins Asia-Pacific Excellence Award for RF Thunder

RF Thunder won the Asia-Pacific Association of Communications Directors (APACD) Asia-Pacific Excellence Awards for the Steinway·SPIRIO China Launch Tour in the Culture and Entertainment category. Another entry, The Face Shop Disney Limited Edition, was shortlisted in the Viral Communications category. The prestigious Asia-Pacific Excellence Awards recognises outstanding achievements, rewards innovative communication strategies and showcases the very best practice from the world of public relations, corporate communications and public affairs.

Steinway·SPIRIO China Launch Tour
In 2016, Steinway launched its most significant product innovation—the world’s finest player piano system—in over 70 years, in eight cities in China. Controlled by a proprietary iPad mobile digital device, it features a continuously updated music catalogue from Steinway’s 1,800 renowned artists’ performances. The new system was designed for player accompaniment or high-quality listening enjoyment.  The launch events expanded Steinway’s China market, and sales exceeded the European market, making China the second largest market behind the U.S., which launched the SPIRIO in 2015. The successful SPIRIO tours will continue to 20 more cities in 2017.

The Face Shop Disney Limited Edition
The Face Shop (TFS), a Korean beauty brand, wanted to promote its limited edition Disney Collection ahead of China’s 2016 Singles Day, the world’s largest online shopping festival. An innovative integrated campaign featuring a popular celebrity, buzz-creating content, extensive media cooperation and a climactic twist to live-streaming events, ignited the entire internet. The campaign produced unprecedented sales with a 200 percent increase in TFS cosmetic product sales during Singles Day promotion, compared to 2015. The eyeshadow used by the male model in the video completely sold out. New CC Cushion products sales increased 20 times versus 2015 and exceeded the 2016 ten-month sales.
