Four Seasons mobile app launched at Brand Media Event 2015

Keeping pace with the digital world, the Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts developed a mobile app for world travelers by leveraging stories of outbound travel experiences with Four Seasons. In appreciation of the media’s longtime support, the Chinese mobile app was officially launched at the Four Seasons’ Brand Media Event 2015 in China, one of the company’s most important markets. RF Thunder coordinated with 30 properties to organize “The World at Your Fingertips. Enjoy Iconic Outbound Destinations with Four Seasons” with a creative format, themed canapés with multidestination cultural performances and interactive app demonstrations. Themed canapés featured a QR code (matrix barcode) to encourage participants to use the app. The multicity canapés were also paired with different cultural performances representing Chiang Mai, Florence, Los Angeles, Sydney, St Petersburg and Tokyo. Thirty-three national media from Beijing and Shanghai attended and engaged with Four Seasons’ Asia Pacific president, representatives of different properties and performers. To encourage the media to explore the property and stimulate in-depth coverage, room vouchers were distributed. The media generated extensive coverage of both the app and the event itself, which included new corporate updates and greetings from Four Seasons. Some media stayed longer to have a trial of the app. PR directors from Four Seasons around the world loved the new event format because it allowed them to meet and engage with Chinese national media as well as showcase highlights of their properties.
